Our banking and financial institution representation, together with real estate law, is one of the firm’s main practice areas. Our emphasis is on providing a broad range of transactional and litigation representation to our financial institution clients, including, negotiating and preparing loan documents and closing loans for both residential and commercial transactions, with an emphasis on real estate based financing. In addition to representing our clients in transactional matters, the firm also represents clients in collecting delinquent loans through negotiation and litigation with delinquent borrowers. The firm has extensive experience in foreclosure litigation, including receiverships, and as part of our banking / financial institutions practice, the firm represents financial institutions and other creditors on a diversity of matters under federal bankruptcy law and related state laws, including creditors’ rights litigation and adversary proceedings, negotiation with debtors and/or trustees, loan workouts and restructuring, and stay relief litigation.
